Tuku iho, he tapu te upoko. From our ancestors, the head is sacred.
Often we adorn our bodies with pounamu (greenstone), which is gifted to someone as a symbol of protection, love, honour and vitality.
Our Whare Pōtae Collection seeks to honour, protect and cherish our upoko (head) the same way we do with pounamu, our head being one of the most tapu (sacred) parts of our body.
No two pōtae of ours are the same: each hat is unique just as you are, to adorn and project your individual story.
